Zachary Jefferson Liner, MD
​
Dr. Liner was born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 2002 and subsequently graduated with a degree in biology from Emory University in 2006. He received his Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine in 2010. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY in 2015. Then, he completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Texas A&M University, Scott & White Hospital, followed by another fellowship in Neurointerventional Radiology at the University of California – San Francisco.

After training, he accepted an attending physician role at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA, serving as director in Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology. He subsequently founded the Southern NeuroInterventional Institute to expand neurointerventional services to the greater Gulf Coast region.
​
His professional interests include endovascular diagnosis and treatment of head and neck vascular disorders such as acute stroke, intracranial aneurysm, intracranial and extracranial atherosclerotic occlusive disease, and intracranial arterial embolization.
​
He resides in Covington, LA, with his wife and three beautiful children. He is an active member in the community, and enjoys volunteering his time at church and school. He thoroughly enjoys spending time with his family, including at school and recreational activities. On a personal level, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling with family and friends, and cheering on the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints.

James D. Thomasson, Jr. M.D.

Dr. Thomasson was raised in Texas and Colorado. He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis with a degree in Biology. He remained in Memphis for most of his medical training, graduating near the top of his medical school class at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
He then completed his internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Tennessee / Methodist Healthcare. He completed his formal training with a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
He is ABR Board Certified in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.
He acquired his Neurointerventional Radiology expertise during his many years as a private practice Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist in Mississippi. He has over 10 years of Neuro IR experience and began working with SNI in early 2024.

Dr. Thomasson’s professional interests include management of acute ischemic stroke, intracranial aneurysms, emergent body IR, and interventional oncology. He also maintains a full-time diagnostic radiology practice.
​
In his time off, Dave enjoys vacationing with his family along the Gulf Coast or skiing in Colorado.
